Director – Information
Technology
Reports to: Vice President
& Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Basic Function
To lead in the development and management of the company's
system infrastructure and communications technology in order to provide the
most efficient support for current operations and future information technology
(IT) needs.
Principal Accountabilities
1.
Heads the process of developing and implementing the IT
system for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
2.
Functions as a strategic and integral part of the
executive management team.
3.
Manage business process improvement team in the
planning selection and implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP)
system upgrade.
4.
Manage all IT personnel including programmers and
network administrators.
5.
Defines future
requirements and coordinates planning for installing system improvements on the
basis of technological developments.
6.
Is responsible
for budget management as well as staff hiring, training, and supervision.
7.
Operates system
to support company operations and service in the most efficient manner and
modifies infrastructure as needed to give maximum support.
8.
Takes action to
ensure the reliability, efficiency, and confidentiality of information system.
9.
Utilizes
enterprise resource planning (ERP) techniques for coordination of multi-site IT
system.
10. Oversees the network management, including wide area, local
area, and remote access capabilities.
11. Develops system with provision for continuity of
operations during any disaster recovery or other emergency situations.
Professional
Qualifications/Required Skills of the Position
- Education
and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) from four
year college or university. Masters highly desirable, but not required.
Seven to ten years related experience with an emphasis in Information
Technology. Supervisory experience is essential.
- Language
Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and compose simple to complex
instructions, correspondence, and memos. Must possess the ability to
effectively communicate verbally and in writing. The ability to conduct
professional and compelling presentations and respond to questions from
groups of managers and senior executives within the Company is critical.
Incumbent must effectively facilitate meetings.
- Reasoning
Ability: Possess strong analytical, quantitative, communication,
problem solving, and technical skills. Have the ability to creatively
apply experience, common sense, and a strategic business perspective to a
variety of situations, processes and people. Has the ability to manage
several projects concurrently.
- Technical
Information Systems and Computer Skills: Proficiency in latest
technology for IT systems and management. Experience managing business
system upgrades including ERP system upgrades. Firsthand experience with
multiple ERP systems used by small to midsized food and beverage
manufacturing companies. Experience leading ERP implementations.
- Computer
User Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should
have solid working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Outlook.
- Physical
Demands: Individual must be capable of carrying up to 50 lbs while
traveling. This position requires up to 25 – 30% travel, depending
on the needs of the marketplace. Must be flexible to occasionally work
overtime.
- Work
Environment: The work environment is a traditional office with
approximately 25 – 30% travel involved. Reasonable accommodations
