Title: Software Application Developer, Professional Services
Location: Boise, Idaho
Pay: Full time, salaried

Job Description:
The Software Application Developer candidate will create business
applications for mobile devices using MobileDataforce technology. The
selected person will develop applications that can be used by various
businesses in their specific fields for collecting data and generating
reports for the calculation and output of data on the devices. The
candidate will work other developers in the Professional Services team
and will use his or her skills and education to design, document, code
and test features for solutions targeted at business users using mobile
devices.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and be able to use MobileDataforce software technology / solutions
- Document requirements of developing a mobile application as identified by Sales and the customer
- Maintain a sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks on time
- Strive for quality and follow company design guidelines
- Write detailed designs for assigned features based on functional requirements
- Code the functionality
- Create and execute a test plan
- Prepare the application for customer delivery
- Assist with support issues
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Visual Basic, .Net, C#, C, C++, or another language
- System analysis and design (experience and training preferred)
- Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work well with a team
Education:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience.
Beneficial Experience / Education:
- Object-oriented design/development
- SQL and relational database design
- XML, XSL, XML Schema
- Understanding
of web-based applications (Web Services, HTTP, HTML) and supporting
infrastructure (firewalls, routers, web servers)
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking and protocols
- Development experience for one of the following mobile platforms: Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian, RIM
- Experience in one or more vertical markets such as manufacturing, finance, real estate, transportation, government, etc.
